Hello again! Today I will talk to you about my role as leader of the youth patrol of my evangelical congregation. Since 2012, we have been dedicated to helping homeless people, providing them with food or a roof for cold nights. We have a fairly large temple, which is why we have been able to accommodate about 20 people.
In 2012 I joined thanks to the invitation made by the youth leader of the church, then I became more and more involved and today I am one of the organizers.
During the period of the pandemic we have delivered boxes of merchandise in the Cerro Navia commune, where the congregation premises are located.
We make calls every month so that on the first Saturday of each month members can bring their own or other people's cooperation to help. Although they are not very large boxes, they go with all the affection for the people who need it most in these difficult times.
'...Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me' These words were the motto of our patrol when we went out to give a hand to the needy. Good entry and nice experiences!
